Canelo Alvarez hasn’t lost a fight since 2013, when Floyd Mayweather defeated him by majority decision.
With a 57-1-2 record, he’s one of boxing’s hottest commodities. He’s putting that reputation on the line Saturday by fighting Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, who is carrying in a 19-0 record, 11 by knockout.
Unsurprisingly, Alvarez is going to be walking away from his fight with Bivol with a bigger haul, as DAZN continues to cash in on its biggest star even after releasing him from his contract in 2020.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol fight purse, prize money
This fight is the first of two on DAZN for Alvarez, and as the main draw, he’s getting the Brinks truck — although Bivol isn’t being shorted either.
Alvarez has a guaranteed purse of $15 million with a reported cap of $40 million, or 70 percent of PPV sales. For the two fights combined, Alvarez could reportedly earn up to $100 million.
For Bivol’s part, the Russian will have a guaranteed purse of $2 million and 30 percent of PPV sales.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Canelo Alvarez is worth $140 million. He signed a five-year, $365 million contract with Oscar De La Hoya’s promotion company Golden Boy and DAZN back in 2018, though the remaining money from that deal was voided in November when Alvarez split from Golden Boy and DAZN.
What is Dmitry Bivol’s net worth?
Bivol’s net worth is significantly lower, with estimates continually placing him around $1-1.5 million. It is, however, more difficult to get an accurate estimate of his overall net worth due to a lack of available information.
Why is the belt holder making less than Canelo?
This fight isn’t within Canelo Alvarez’s normal weight class. He is moving up to 175 pounds to fight Bivol for the WBA light heavyweight belt, while holding the WBO, IBF, WBA, and WBC super middleweight belts (168 pounds). Bivol has held the WBA light heavyweight belt since 2017, when he successfully defended his interim champion status after defeating Felix Valera in 2016.
