Welcome back! Let’s jump right back into my interview with Aaron Ruiz, a local real estate broker, husband and father of two who almost lost his battle with Covid-19 earlier this year.

I’d like to thank Aaron for reaching out to me about telling his story. It’s a powerful story, and I think it’s a noble act to share your own private painful experience in the hopes that it might help others avoid the same or a similar painful experience. And it’s important because of the amount of misinformation, disinformation, and straight-up lies that have flooded our society since the pandemic started. In a time when even hard facts are met with illogical skepticism, it’s first-person truth like Aaron’s that might MIGHT just make a difference. Because the fact is we’re not just facing a pandemic spread by a literal virus, we’re facing an infodemic spread by bad actors who make money off of propaganda and misinformation. When people are suffering and confusion is everywhere, that’s when the snake oil salesman come out of the woodwork. Don’t listen to those who would spread confusions and conspiracy theories from expensive home studios on YouTube and then cut to commercials for supplements they slap their name onto. Listen to your doctor. Listen to actual experts! And listen to this father and husband who could be your neighbor, co-worker and friend who is telling you why he regrets not getting vaccinated before he got Covid-19.
